The building was constructed in 1550 and was a humble home for craftsmen in the centuries thereafter. It has housed the families of four cobblers, two masons, a winemaker, a stonecutter, a painter, a potter, a woolmaker, and a sockmaker (and, more recently, even a couple of hip bars). Every tenant adapted the space according to their own needs. It took us years to carefully restore the house to its proper glory. We preserved the original features where possible, including the centuries-old stone, a fresco in the dining room, and the historical ceilings. The exposed bricks and wooden ceilings testify to the house's construction and expansion over time.
